Baiyinhua Jinshan Power Generation Co., Ltd. was registered and established in March 2006. It is a large-scale power generation enterprise jointly funded by Shenyang Jinshan Energy Co., Ltd., Liaoning Energy Investment (Group) Co., Ltd., Dandong Dongfang New Energy Co., Ltd., and Liaoning Ningfuxin Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., and organized according to modern corporate governance principles. The project is planned to install four 600-MW air-cooled generating units, with room for future expansion. The first-phase project—two 600-MW air-cooled thermal power generating units—was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in November 2005 and is scheduled to begin production in 2008. The company is located on the beautiful and vast grasslands of West Ujumqin Banner in Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia, adjacent to Baiyinhua Coal Mine No. 4 open-pit coal mine at a distance of 3.7 kilometers. It is 100 kilometers from Bayanwula Town, the seat of West Ujumqin Banner. The project utilizes EDI products from Canpure; the raw water used is reclaimed water that has been recycled, with a total treatment capacity reaching 5,520 tons per day.
